I learned not to worry so much about the outcome, but to concentrate on the step I was on and to try to do it as perfectly as I could when doing it

Digital Learning

We use digital technology for teaching and learning daily in Scoil Mhuire. All Classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art high definition LCD interactive screens. Pupils avail of a range of online interactive resources.

All classes use Chromebooks in their day to day work and both teachers and pupils alike are proficient in the use of Google Workspace. Pupils create Google Forms Quizzes, Slides and Documents to reinforce their learning in all curricular areas. Google Classroom is useful in maintaining home-school links. Chromebooks are also used daily for Accelerated Reading, Spellings for Me and Typing Club.

We also use iPads with numerous educational apps which we use to create exciting digital projects such as the QuiverVision Augmented Reality Art. QuiverVision allows us to learn about everything from the Water Cycle to Platonic Solids.

CASE (Collaborative and Shared Education) in association with Leargás,  the Education Authority and the Department of Education allowed us to develop programming skills.

Links with Beech Hill - 6th Class participated in the Schools Excellence Fund project where they used Chromebooks to program robots.
